How CartSprig works with coupons

Predictable discounts start with one clear stacking policy.

The default policy

CartSprig uses native virtual WooCommerce coupons for its discounts. When another coupon is applied, CartSprig pauses its money-changing offers and removes its own promotional gift/add-on lines with a notice. It does not remove the shopper’s other coupon.

Allowing combinations

You can allow combination with ordinary coupons in Settings. WooCommerce calculates coupon totals, tax and rounding. Individual-use coupons still take priority. Consider a test order with every combination you intend to support; the order of discounts can affect the final amount.

Sale items and external prices

Sale products are excluded from CartSprig discounts by default. A separate guard compares cart-item prices with current catalog prices and declines a discount when it detects another extension changing the price. This does not detect every pricing system.

When an offer stops qualifying

Removing a trigger product, reducing quantity, applying a conflicting coupon, ending a schedule or changing a campaign can invalidate a promotional line. CartSprig removes or reduces that line with a notice, rather than changing it to a full-price item.

One CartSprig rule per line

Tagged offer items belong to their selected campaign. Ordinary items can receive the highest-priority eligible quantity rule; a second CartSprig rule does not discount that same line.

Removing or deactivating the plugin

Disable campaigns and allow shoppers to review updated carts before a planned uninstall. With CartSprig inactive, its virtual coupons are unavailable and WooCommerce recalculates normal prices. Never deactivate a pricing plugin mid-promotion without checking active-cart behavior.
